Come Explore the Dimensions of Health and Healing
Medicine Cannot Provide

With the rise of objective rationality as the dominant force in the Enlightenment in the West, and the emergence of the man midwife, much was gained but so much of the unique female sensibilities, the natural intelligence and wisdom necessary for our well being and survival have been lost.

Today, we are seeing a new Renaissance, a connection to and profound appreciation of Nature on which all life depends. The curtain is also starting to lift on Death itself, the foundation of all human fears and ignorance. We are slowly learning that Life is all that is. Death is the illusion.

Maximizing the quality of our time here on Earth begins with aligning ourselves with Nature.

Whole Woman founder Christine Kent has assembled an astonishing group of women healers and explorers of the Nature that surrounds us and gives us everything we need.

Come join us for this milestone virtual experience and meet our presenters...

Health is Alignment With Nature

Everyone accumulates wounds and scars in life.

They may be physical, emotional, relational, or afflict some other dimension of our lives.

Unhealed wounds and scars limit our ability to bring our full and best self to our lives and those limits erode our quality of life.

Healing means accessing those dimensions of ourselves that have been constrained by life events and bringing them back into full service of making our lives all they are capable of being.

Indigenous people have always understood that health is dependent on alignment with nature.

With the evolution of rationality, science, and intellect, humanity has largely lost touch with nature.

The irony of course is that we are products of nature, live in nature, and are dependent on nature for everything we need to survive.

Destruction of Nature

Yet humanity has tried to systematically destroy practically every aspect of nature through industrial activities, horribly wasteful consumer and industrial processes, and industrial scale agriculture, dependent on pesticides, herbicides, and many other unnatural chemicals. And of course fossil fuels.

What is Health?

Modern medicine, as good as it is at treating trauma, has no established definition for health. There are several reasons for this.

First, medicine claims to be all about science. While it is certainly informed by science, it is first, last, and always a practice, meaning it's a business.

The business of medicine skews the lofty ideals it claims for itself towards production, throughput, and profitability, like all other businesses.

Second, the medical system does not effectively deal the the reality of death. The operating principle is that existence, the presence of life, no matter any amount of patient suffering at the hands of doctors is preferable to non-existence or death. Only when doctors have given up all hope of life is the patient relegated to hospice. This black and white definition of the function of medicine relegates health to a much lower priority than existence.

The unthinkable complexity of the interactions of the trillions of cells in the human body, along with the microbial realm means that the reductionism of science has only a modest capacity to understand or measure health.

At Whole Woman, our contention is that health can only be defined in terms of nature. To what extent do we align ourselves with nature, minimize our human “footprint”, and acknowledge and appreciate the inherent intelligence and wisdom of nature.

Nature as the Enemy

Instead, as humans we treat nature as the enemy. Germs and viruses are out to get us. We fear natural disasters that may wipe out our homes and livelihoods. “Natural selection” means survival of the fittest, which drives us to brutalize each other.

This misconception of how nature works underlies our destruction of nature and the resulting collective loss of human health, the explosion of autism, dementia, chronic disease, and the physical disasters associated with climate change.

Nature actually works collaboratively. We could not digest our food were it not for the bacteria in our gut, which was a gift from our mother’s vaginal microbiology and milk.

Viruses actually function to update the global genomes in response to changes in the environment.

In Farley Moat’s famous book Never Cry Wolf, the young biologist was sent out into the Canadian wilderness to understand why the deer population was shrinking, the obvious culprit being the predation of wolves.

What he learned was yes, the wolves were feeding on the deer, but their hunting process culls the old, lame, and sick deer from the herd and actually make the herd healthier. In fact it was the humans who were irresponsibly killing the deer.

For us to heal, to live fully in health, how can we do so when Nature has been and continues to be so badly damaged? As best we can, we align ourselves with nature, care for her as we care for ourselves since we are completely dependent on her.

The 2021 Whole Woman® Conference

The theme of the 2021 Whole Woman® Conference is Health is Alignment With Nature.

We humans live in the delusion that the skin is the boundary of our body. The truth is far more complex. There is no real “inside vs. outside” boundary. We live and move in a sea of microbiology that we can’t see, hear, taste, or touch, but with which nevertheless we are in constant interaction.

We operate on the presumption that symptoms are “bad” when symptoms are merely our bodies’ way of trying to draw our attention to an underlying problem we need to address.

We presume pain is “bad” and have developed an entire industry focused on alleviating pain. While there are times when anesthesia is necessary, pain’s primary function is to serve as a pointer, again, to draw our attention to something in the body, which is important for us to be aware of and working on, not just covered over with chemical comfort.

At the 2021 Whole Woman®Conference, we are going to draw on a wide range of expertise of women with deep experience in their disciplines.

The purpose is simple. When we learn and grow, we become more confident in our self-sufficiency, less dependent on the medical system, and more in alignment with the intelligence and wisdom of nature.

Our intent is not to ignore science. Quite the contrary. We want to leverage the astonishing breadth and depth of scientific knowledge to guide us to a greater synthesis, of the traditional respect and reverence for nature and the vast pool of information science has created to help us understand and appreciate nature at a whole new level.

We believe that women must play a critical role in this synthesis because our role in the process of reproduction brings us closer to nature and more sensitive to her health and therefore our own health.

The Schedule

The schedule below shows the content of the Conference. We are currently reaching out to major names in many of these disciplines to confirm their involvement.

Our intent is simple - to provide life altering paradigms, perspectives, methods, and skills to provide real healing, physically, emotionally, and relationally for ourselves and this miraculous world, which we call home.

As we did this year, the 2021 Conference will be virtual. And participants will have access to the recordings for a full year after the close of the event.

The recordings also mean that one does not have to be present in real time to get the value out of the Conference. We understand that for many, the time zone in which they live make real-time participation impractical. The recordings make participation possible.

For this Conference, we will have breakout sessions. All participants will have access to all breakout session recordings regardless if they attended them or not.

For the women who understand and appreciate what novelist Kurt Vonnegut called “the universal will to become,” the Conference will be a life-changing experience.
