Karen Simmonds is a Certified Whole Woman Practitioner based on the Sunshine Coast of Queensland, Australia. Her personal interests and healthy lifestyle choices reflect her down-to-earth nature and her interest in natural health; and her enthusiasm for understanding women’s health has been a natural continuation of this. She believes that restoring our bodies to their original health is vital for a life well lived.
Karen worked at the 2015 Whole Woman Conference in Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA, and is currently working from her home in Queensland, teaching women how to manage pelvic organ prolapse and urinary incontinence without surgery. The Whole Woman work has proven that it is possible to live well with these conditions; symptoms can be managed, stabilised and even reversed.
Karen holds a degree in Agroforestry and a certificate of Permaculture. She has worked and volunteered for a number of organisations in these fields, including training and mentoring long-term unemployed youth. Further educational skills were gained with several years teaching English as a second language. She loves to grow food on her small town block of land to nourish her young family and share with friends, and she is also a passionate beekeeper.
Karen is a member of the International Institute for Complementary Therapists (IICT). She is passionate about the Whole Woman work and she understands first-hand the busy lifestyle of a mother with a young family. Karen will personally tailor a program to suit your lifestyle and routine. She is available for telephone or Skype consultations as well as face-to-face, individual or small group sessions.
